Supervised running training and the added value of the group

Supervised running training is a key element in sporting success, and group training under the guidance of an experienced coach adds an extra dimension that is crucial for runners of all levels. This article explores the benefits of this type of training, focusing on the new weekly groups launched by Léman Running Club.

Why choose supervised training?

The support of a qualified coach is invaluable. It offers technical advice, a training structure and helps prevent injuries. What's more, the coach adapts the sessions to individual needs, helping each runner to achieve their personal goals, whether that's finishing a 10 km or aiming for a marathon.

The strength of the group

Running in a group offers a unique emulation. This dynamic creates a motivating environment where runners can share their experiences, challenges and successes. Mutual support and encouragement help members to surpass themselves and stay committed to their training.

Léman Running Club groups

In January 2024, Léman Running Club is launching three weekly groups in Nyon, Geneva and Morges. Each group, run by qualified coaches, is tailored to intermediate and advanced runners, with a focus on improving performance.

  1. Léman Running Club Geneva - Coached by Antoine Bezault, the sessions will take place at the Stade du Bout du Monde every Thursday. The programme includes VMA tests for optimum personalisation of training sessions.
  2. Léman Running Club Morges - Led by Alan Vellati, the group meets every Wednesday at the Morges swimming pool. The group aims to improve stride and muscular endurance.
  3. Léman Running Club Nyon - Jasper McDowell will lead this group every Tuesday at the Stade de Colovray, focusing on varied sessions to develop physiological qualities.
