Trail Nocturne - Vallée de Joux: The call of the night in the heart of the Jura
Dare to plunge into the winter magic of the Combières region! In the spirit of the legendary “Nocturne des Loups”, the Trail Nocturne - Vallée de Joux is much more than just a race: it's a unique sensory experience. In the heart of the Vaud Jura, when the sun sets on Le Sentier, the atmosphere shifts between mystery and excitement. Armed with your headlamp, you'll set off into a hushed, sometimes snowy atmosphere, where the silence of the forest is broken only by the breath of the runners and the crunch of their strides. This is an event on a human scale, limited to 500 privileged people, A challenge that combines sport and mountain conviviality.

Profile: An undulating and varied route. The route alternates between forest roads immersive, technical trails in the undergrowth and more rolling sections for relaunching. It's an ideal playground for lovers of raw nature. Please note that poles are not permitted.

Practical info
Race headquarters (start and finish) are located at Vallée de Joux Sports Centre at Le Sentier, offering comfortable logistics for winter.

Runner services : Changing rooms and hot showers are available at the Salle omnisports, as is free on-site parking.

Compulsory equipment: In winter, safety is paramount. A headlamp in working order, a survival blanket, a waterproof jacket and a supply of water (0.5L min) are required. Don't forget your personal drinking cup (no cups provided at refreshment stands).

The After-Course : The trail spirit continues after the finish line with a fondue (booking required), served in a heated area to warm the body and the heart.
Don't be afraid of the dark, just turn on your headlamp and come and tame the Vaud winter in an exhilarating atmosphere!

A night-time version of the trail is a superb experience. I was delighted to take part for the first time, with well-marked trails and a great atmosphere.
My 3rd participation in this beautiful race that passes close to home. As on previous occasions, the organisation was top notch, there was a welcome committee refreshment area 💙 Leman Running before the descent, and there was a great atmosphere after the race at the sports centre. See you next year!

The 4th edition of the Nocturne des Loupsscheduled for Friday 7 February 2025, is an exciting race that takes place at night in the Combière region. This race, a partner of Léman Runningis limited to 500 participants and offers a course of 10 km with 340 m of ascent. With original entertainment and surprises all along the route, this night-time event offers a unique racing experience. Disguises are welcome and runners will be greeted at the finish with mulled wine. Don't delay in signing up for this extraordinary night-time adventure!
