The Grand Trail des Chamois

Immerse yourself in the history and landscapes of the Revermont region

The Grand Trail des Chamois takes you on a unique adventure between wild ridges, historic heritage and breathtaking panoramas. Set in Coligny, in the heart of the Revermont region (Ain), this series of races will appeal to lovers of nature, challenge and excitement. Ranging from 10 to 65 km, each route offers its share of surprises, from stone villages and demanding climbs to glimpses of local history.

Course

• Grand Trail des Chamois - 65 km | 3300 m D+ (altitude gain)
  Departure at 5 a.m. from the Coligny village hall. Ascent of Mont Myon, visit to the open-air sculpture museum, Merovingian remains, Château de Rosy, Revermont peaks, Château de Treffort and return via the Grotte Notre-Dame de la Roche. Limited to 200 runners.

• MaraTrail des Chamois - 42 km | 2000 m D+ (altitude gain)
  Departure from Château de Treffort - arrival at Coligny. Crossing the Revermont with climbs to Les Esses, Mont Grillerin, Mont Châtel and Mont Myon. Shuttle service available. 200 race numbers available.

• Le Chamois - 31 km | 1515 m D+ climb
  Loop starting from Coligny. Technical route via the quarry, the stone memory trail, Courmangoux, Mont Myon and return via Dingier and Vergongeat.

• Le Petit Chamois - 19 km | 830 m D+ (altitude gain)
  A compact but demanding trail. Passage through Salavre, overlooking Verjon and Roissiat, climb to the quarry, return via the Grotte Notre-Dame de la Roche and panoramic views over the Bresse region.

• Family Chamois - 10 km | 400 m D+ climb
  Ideal for discovering trail running with the family. Forest trails, climb to Vergongeat and open views of the Bresse region. Accessible to all.
