Tunnels, superb scenery and the magnificent viaduct just 3 km from the finish!

I had the privilege of doing the closing 45 km alongside Samuel Lorentz, from the Day station to the finish - a total of 27 km!

A remarkably well organised trail for its first edition.

📌 Please note: for the second edition in 2026, bib numbers are likely to be sold out in just a few days 🏃🏼‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏿‍➡️🏃‍♀️‍➡️!

First edition and already looking forward to going back.

A 45km trail with 2 main climbs. Of particular note is the 16km between the 1st and 2nd feed stations, which can be problematic in very hot weather. A route that allows you to discover some very beautiful spots, the Dent de Vaulion, views of the lake, the gorges de Vallorbe and the Cascade, and a finale with the bridge that your calves will remember for the end of the route.

The only downside for me is that the signposting at intersections could be improved. Congratulations again on this launch

Magnificent course, but demanding for the 22km. A little effort on the markings might be in order for next time. It was easy to make a mistake. Otherwise TOP.

A beautiful route with superb scenery. One minor point about the signposting... sometimes it's not that easy to find the way. This will undoubtedly be improved for future outings.

45km

A chilly start (4 degrees) but no time to cool down. We set off for a few kilometres on the flat before tackling the first climb to the Dent de Vaulion. A gentle climb, with a tougher finish.

First refreshment before reaching the summit and its breathtaking views!

Then it's off for more than 15km of descent.cente with just 200m of technique at the start.

Arrival at Day and its magnificent waterfall (Saut du Day). A rolling descent of the Gorges de l'Orbe before the 2nd refreshment stop at Le Clés.

Then it's off for the 2nd climb, which is a real leg-breaker. 3rd feed en route.

Then there's the Pont du Day, a magnificent structure seen from below... but you have to climb it before you can appreciate the crossing... some fine steps that are hard on the calves. Then a few kilometres on the flat to reach the finish.

Magnificent, rolling trail with magnificent scenery.

Make sure you have enough water and food, as the refreshment points are far apart!

I tried out the short 7km walking course on Friday. It was great. Now all I need to do is train for the 22km... 😱
