Morat-Fribourg half and half trail, 25.53km - 599D+/443D-

The start is in the town of Murten, where the atmosphere is, as usual, top-notch!

The first few kilometres are on tarmac for around 4 km, followed by a pretty undulating route through the forest with a few short, manageable climbs.

The firsthe refreshment point at Courlevon (km 9) is, like the next one at La Corbaz (km 18), superbly stocked with local produce (cheeses, cuchaule, etc.).

At km 10, just after the refreshment point, the only big trail climb gets under way, and it's a real leg-breaker, with everyone walking in single file.

Km 19, a big descent that warms the thighs before rejoining the original route and tackling the famous Sonnaz climb in a Tour de France atmosphere.

Then it's on to the long straight stretches that lead to the gates of Fribourg, and there are always plenty of people lining the roads!

It's already time to tackle the final climb of the last kilometre to the finish in a crazy atmosphere.

+ a course accessible to all, both in terms of km and D+.

+ very rolling course

+ local refreshments

+ to do once to treat yourself

- nothing beats the original Morat-Fribourg
