Lyaud Trail - Running facing Lake Geneva, in the heart of the wild Chablais region

Looking for an accessible, authentic and scenic trail? Visit Lyaud Trail invites you to take to the heights of Thonon-les-Bains, starting from the charming village of Le Lyaud. It's an event on a human scale, run by a team of enthusiasts who bring together keen trail runners, enthusiastic hikers and families who come to cheer them on. The atmosphere is friendly, the setting splendid, and the view over Lake Geneva simply magical.


The routes

  • Grand Lyaud - 22 km / 1300 m D+ climb
    Starts at 8.30am - A demanding and challenging route, with a succession of forest monotracks, panoramic ridges and Alpine trails. A great adventure for committed short trail runners.

  • Petit Lyaud - 10 km / 320 m D+ climb
    Starts at 9.30 am - A rolling, accessible loop, ideal for discovering trail running or performing in a short format. Open to cadets and above.

  • Walking (Nordic or free) - 10 km / 320 m D+ (over 320 m)
    Starts at 9.30am - Same route as the P'tit Lyaud, but without a time trial. The perfect opportunity to experience the event at your own pace, without a race number but with a smile on your face.


Practical info

  • Departure and arrival Place du Champ Dunant, 74200 Lyaud

  • Withdrawal of race numbers :

    • Saturday (10am-3pm) at Terre de Running, Anthy-sur-Léman

    • Sunday (7am-9am) at the race venue

  • Refreshments :

    • Grand Lyaud: 1 refreshment point during the race + buffet at the finish

    • Petit Lyaud & Walk: complete autonomy + final buffet

  • Changing rooms and assistance A host of facilities: reception area, signposting, precise waymarking, respect for the environment and motivated volunteers.

  • Podiums Awards for the top finishers in each category at 12.00 (attendance compulsory)


Between dry climbs, technical descents, views over Lake Geneva and a village atmosphere, the Lyaud Trail ticks all the boxes for a local, sporting and generous trail event. Come and join in the adventure, and set your stride in the rolling hills of the Chablais!
