Urbachallenge - The urban race that shakes up Orbe's staircases
Born out of a winter challenge between members of Vélo Club Orbe, the’Urbachallenge has rapidly become a popular meeting place for team spirit, fun and a village atmosphere. Held in the steep streets of’Orbe, This original race features a unique route incorporating the city's many stairways, in a warm and festive atmosphere.
With its cobbled streets, short but intense climbs and panoramic views over the city of Vaud, the Urbachallenge is a race like no other: it's a urban challenge, accessible to all levels, whether solo or shared in a relay.
Solo race - 9.4 km
A dynamic route through the centre of Orbe, punctuated by restarts, stairs and emblematic passages of the town. The route has no major changes in altitude, but it's sure to set the pace.
Relay race - 2 or 3 runners
Modular format with relay options of 2x/2t or 1t/3t. Perfect for companies, families or groups of friends who want to experience the effort together.
Children's races (Urbakids)
500 m for children born between 2017 and 2021
1000 m (2 loops) for children born between 2011 and 2016
Free, adapted formats to introduce youngsters to running in a fun and safe environment.
Departure and arrival points Place du Marché, in the heart of Orbe
Main timetable start at 5.30pm for adults, juniors and relays
Withdrawal of race numbers Under the cover of BCV (Place du Marché)
Changing rooms and showers At the Casino (access via the city station staircase)
Results and prize-giving At 7.30pm under the Town Hall canopy
