🌿 The concept

The principle is simple: an accessible walk, where 10 single men and 10 single women meet each other along the way. Thanks to a system inspired by speed dating, each participant changes partners regularly, giving them the chance to talk to different people in a very simple way.

Important information: The “speed dating” part (exchanges in pairs during the walk) takes place in the following ways only with people in the same age group (39-52).

At the end of the outing, everyone can indicate with whom they would like to continue the discussion. If interest is mutual, contact details will be shared.

📌 Contact exchange

Anyone wishing to exchange telephone numbers can do so directly with Alessandro, the tour organiser and guide. 👉 Everyone is asked to respect these instructions and not to request contact directly from other participants.

📍 Hiking in La Fouly (VS) - Snowshoeing

⏳ Duration : approx. 1h45 effective walking time (excluding breaks) 📌 Course : Approximately 6 km for 142m ascent (D+). ⚠️ Level required : Although the route does not involve any major technical difficulties, it is not suitable for beginners.

• You need to be comfortable walking in step with the group.
• You must be in sufficiently good physical condition to be able to chat and exchange ideas while walking(snowshoeing is more strenuous than conventional walking).

🚆 Accessible by public transport (check timetable to La Fouly).
⚠️ Equipment: Snowshoes MANDATORY. Snowshoes are not included in the price; you can hire them from our partner Pélissier Sport in Martigny. You'll also need poles and cold-weather clothing.
💧 Meals and hydration :Bring water and your picnic (brought by you). Lunch will be taken half-way along the route, together with the second group.

• 25 CHF standard rate
• 20 CHF for holders of Member Passport (The price includes organisation, logistics and the aperitif).

🥂 Aperitif : A joint aperitif is offered by Léman Running at the end of the outing.

🔎 Safety : Each registration is checked (proof of identity required and kept for a maximum of 30 days).

A message will be sent to you by the organiser - guide Alessandro the week before the outing, with the latest information and instructions.

🚨 Registration management

If we do not reach 10 men and 10 women, the event will still take place. However, in the event of an imbalance (e.g. 8 men and 6 women), priority will be given to the first 6 women and the first 6 men registered to ensure a balanced experience.

🧭 Special 39-52 years & Group 25-38 years

This registration specifically concerns the following age group 39-52 years old.

A second group 25-38 years old will also be present on the same day.

• Walking : Speed dating“ exchanges take place within your age group only.
• Social events : Le picnic halfway and the final aperitif will be shared by both groups, creating a broader, friendlier atmosphere.

❓ FAQ - Your questions, our answers

📌 Why is the “non-beginner” level required? Snowshoe walking requires more energy than walking on foot. For the speed dating concept to work, it is essential that everyone can keep up with the pace of the group without becoming exhausted, in order to keep enough breath to discuss. If you're too out of breath to speak, you won't benefit from the experience.

📌 How is the event organised?

• Meet at the starting point in La Fouly.
• Quick introduction, put on your snowshoes, then off you go (approx. 1h45 - 6 km).
• Regular partner change thanks to an audible signal.
• Picnic halfway (brought by you) with the other group.
• At the end of the walk, aperitif offered by Léman Running together.
• Change of contacts via Alessandro in case of mutual interest.

📌 Why this rate? The fee (CHF 25 or CHF 20 for members) covers organisation, accident insurance and logistics. It also represents a commitment on the part of the participants, guaranteeing their motivation and seriousness. The final aperitif is offered by the organisers.

📌 Can I see the profiles of other participants before the ride? No. The aim is to encourage spontaneous and authentic encounters.

📌 Why ask for ID? To check age and identity, for the safety of all.

📌 Cancellation In the event of cancellation by you, for whatever reason, no refund or credit note will be issued.

📌 Are hikes reserved for a heterosexual audience? Our walks are specifically organised for a heterosexual public. For people looking for sports outings dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ community, we recommend the Frontrunners Geneva association.

📌 Are dogs allowed? No, dogs are not allowed for reasons of logistics and group comfort.

📜 Rules and commitment of participants

📌 Status and intention By taking part, you declare that you are single and genuinely interested in meeting people.

📌 Health and fitness By registering, you certify that you are in good health and physically capable of walking 6 km. on snowshoes with 142m of ascent. You certify that you are able to keeping pace with the group while carrying on a conversation. Please inform the organiser of any pathologies or visible or invisible disabilities.

📌 Respect and behaviour Any inappropriate, insistent or disrespectful behaviour will result in immediate exclusion.

📌 Confidentiality and data Identity documents will be kept for a maximum of 30 days before deletion.
