La Capéçone - Between vineyards, forest and Lake Geneva, the charm of the Chablais on foot

Situated between the lake and the mountains Capéçone de Publier is one of the finest spring races in the Chablais region. Organised by the L'Ous Courati Deu Chablais With the support of the communes of Publier and Évian, this friendly race takes you on undulating trails through an area rich in nature, heritage... and good legs! With its forest trails, its unique passage through the prestigious Evian Resort Golf Academy, With a finish on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Capéçone combines sport, pleasure and scenery.


The routes

  • La Capéçone 13 km - 300 m D+ (altitude gain)
    A rhythmic and varied route. After a tarmac start, there are forest tracks, shady paths and open views over the wine-growing hillsides. The finish by the lake, in the parks of Amphion, adds a final touch that is as rolling as it is spectacular.

  • La Capéçone 8 km - 160 m D+ (climb)
    A shorter but just as enjoyable version of the main course, with all the same features: wooded paths, passage through the Golf course, vineyards and a finish with your feet almost in the water.

  • Popular walk - 11 km
    Not timed, this accessible loop largely follows the trail route, giving everyone the chance to enjoy Publier's natural surroundings at their own pace.

  • Departure & arrival Cité de l'Eau sports centre in Amphion-les-Bains (Publier)

  • Timetable :

    • 8 km & 13 km: start at 9.00 am

    • Walk: starts at 9.05am

  • Registrations :

    • Online only for timed races (no on-site registration on the day except for walks)

    • Withdrawal of race numbers :

      • Saturday: 14:00-17:00 at Décathlon Publier

      • Sunday: from 7.30 am at the start

  • Services :

    • Refreshment points on the routes

    • Snack on arrival

    • Car park, changing rooms and warm-up area on site

  • Podiums for the top 3 in each category (cadets to masters, men & women)


Whether you come to perform, for pleasure, or simply to discover a nature loop on the shores of Lake Geneva, the Capone is a firm fixture on the calendar. With its local atmosphere, fun route and view over the lake, it's a great way to celebrate spring with your trainers on.
