There's also a small refreshment area, perfect for a refreshing break. You'll discover some superb scenery in the heart of the regional park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The route starts at the Col de Petra Felix (1144m) and leads through forests and meadows on well-marked paths to the Dent de Vaulion (1483m). An iconic mountain in the Vall\u00e9e de Joux and Vallorbe, the Dent de Vaulion offers magnificent views from its summit. Dominating the village of Le Pont, the Dent de Vaulion rises to an altitude of 1,482m. Its unusual shape and location at the end of Lac de Joux have earned it a prominent place in many photos of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-5267061060968545\"\n     crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\"\n     data-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\n     data-ad-format=\"fluid\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-5267061060968545\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"3302872339\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>During the summer months, many hikers and trail runners enjoy the 360\u00b0 panoramic views from the summit. On a clear day, you can admire up to eight different lakes: Neuch\u00e2tel, Bienne, Morat, L\u00e9man, Brenet, Ter, Joux and Les Rousses in France. The Alps, in particular the Mont Blanc massif, complete this idyllic landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most popular route is a 7.2km loop from the village of Le Pont, or from a place called P\u00e9tra-F\u00e9lix, to the summit. Other routes are possible from Vaulion or Vallorbe, including a stage of the national SwitzerlandMobility route no. 5 \"Chemin des Cr\u00eates du Jura\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A dead-end road also leads to the Dent de Vaulion, past the Auberge du Morez, which is open all year round, and ends at the Buvette de la Dent de Vaulion. This restaurant, close to the summit, welcomes visitors from May to October. In winter, the Dent de Vaulion ski lift climbs the southern slope to the delight of skiers of all ages. Considered a moderate trail, it takes around 2 hours 35 minutes to complete. Popular for birdwatching, hiking and running, you're likely to come across a number of nature lovers here. The best time to visit is from April to October. Dogs, kept on a lead, are welcome. Highest point : Dent de Vaulion (1483m).
